DONATIONS AND GIFTS
SACI has been fortunate to receive past donations from alumni, friends and parents that help provide well needed support for scholarships and the operation of the school. In times of difficult economic conditions, your gift or donation to SACI is more meaningful today than ever before.
Your contributions provide scholarships and financial aid to talented students, help keep tuition down, control fee increases, help with education and special exhibitions, support conservation programs, help restoration on the newly purchased palazzo on Via Sant'Egidio, and maintain Palazzo Cartelloni which is not only an historic landmark but is the center for our undergraduate programs. These are just a few of the places your generous donations help SACI.
You can choose how your donations and gifts be assigned. You may leave your donation unrestricted or you may select a specific purpose such as scholarships or restoration projects which are the heart of the SACI Conservation curriculum. Go to Opportunities For Giving for more information.
Please help SACI by making a gift today. Click below to donate, or for more information contact Studio Arts College International at (212) 248-7225 or email us at email@example.com.
Donations fully are tax-deductible as provided by the law. Studio Arts College International is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation.

Contribute to the SACI Scholarship Fund by donating a minimum of €100 and receive a commemorative intaglio print by Guido Colucci (1877-1949). Donations can be made in Florence or through the NY office.
About Guido Colucci
Colucci was a master draftsman, designer, and painter who studied with Giovanni Fattori, the renowned Macchiaioli artist. Colucci's works are part of many important public and private collections, including the Gabinetto di Disegni e Stampe of the Uffizi Gallery, Florence and the Museum of Bastia, Corsica.
About the Prints
Peter Colucci Sutro donated the original plates to SACI and a limited edition was printed by the artist and master printer Gary Lissa expressly for an exhibition in the SACI Gallery held from June 28 to July 30, 2010. A full color catalog is also available.
Gifts by Check
Checks can be made payable to Studio Arts College International and should be sent to our New York office: Studio Arts College International, 50 Broad Street, Suite 1617, New York, NY 10004-2372 USA
Gifts in Stock
Many of SACI's alumni, parents and friends find that donating stocks, bonds and shares in mutual funds can lead to a gift much greater than individuals thought they could initially give. Gifts of appreciated securities not only give financial suport4 to SACI but also tax benefits to donors. If securities have been held for at least one year the charitable tax deduction is the current fair market value. If the securities have appreciated, no capital gains tax on a gift will be incurred.

Delivery Method – Paper Certificates
Every stock certificate has a "transfer form" printed on the back. If a donor has many stock certificates for the same company, it may be more convenient to sign a separate "Stock Assignment" form instead of signing each certificate individually. If shares of several companies are donated, a separate "transfer form" must be signed for each company.
In the space following "I/we assign unto__________________", the donor should write "Studio Arts College International". In the signature block at the bottom of the form, the donor should sign his/her name exactly as printed on the face of the stock certificate. If shares are held in joint tenancy, both husband and wife must sign the form. It is not necessary to fill in any other information or to obtain a "signature guarantee".
Because names of individual donors do not appear on our monthly broker statements, please let us know that you have made a transfer so we can ensure proper crediting of your gift.
Thousands of companies across the United States match contributions that supplement employees' donations. Please check with the HR department at your company to take advantage of this great way to match, double or triple your donation.
For many alumni, parents and friends of SACI, a planned gift illustrates their appreciation and commitment to our programs and their desire to provide stability and continuity to one of the finest art institutes.
In addition to supporting SACI, planned giving often provides significant financial benefits to the donor. These benefits include substantial tax deductions, income to donors or their loved ones, as well as other benefits available depending on a donor's circumstances and objectives.
Make a provision in your will to benefit Studio Arts College International.
Designate a Planned Gift
We invite you to contact us to talk about specific uses for your planned gift, such as naming opportunities and restricted funds. Unless you direct otherwise, your bequest to Studio Arts ColleInternational will become part of the Endowment Fund. The earnings from this Fund will be used to support all aspects of the organization’s operations, while the Endowment’s principle amount remains whole. In this way, your bequest will keep on supporting Studio Arts College International far into the future.
Set Up A Planned Gift
- You can name Studio Arts College International as a beneficiary of your Will for example for a gift of a percentage of your estate, a fixed amount, or real or personal property:
“I give and bequeath to Studio Arts College International, located in Florence, Italy with administrative offices in New York, NY, _____% of my estate or $ _____ [fixed amount]” or insert a description of real or personal property.
For a gift of all or part of the residue of your estate:
“I give and bequeath to Studio Arts College International, located in Florence, Italy with administrative offices in New York, NY, all the residue of my estate or _______% of the residue of my estate, including real and personal property.”
If you already have a will, ask your attorney to prepare a short addendum (also called a codicil) containing this, or similar, language. Assets willed to tax-exempt, charitable organization, such as Studio Arts College International, are not subject to estate taxes and reduce the value of your estate for purposes of calculating any estate taxes.
- Your retirement account, such as an IRA, 401K, or 403B. Since funds in these accounts are subject to both income tax and estate tax at the time of death, it is possible for as much as 80% of the funds in your account to go to taxes. However, no tax would be levied on any money in a retirement account that is left to Studio Arts College International or other tax-exempt charitable organizations.
- Your insurance policy —for example, one provided as a benefit by your employer.
- A charitable remainder trust. If you own appreciated property such as stock or real estate, you may avoid high taxes and permanently improve your own income stream by creating a charitable remainder trust. During your lifetime, or the lifetime of your surviving spouse, you receive the income from the trust. You are free to change both the trustees and the charitable beneficiaries at any time.
Please feel free to call Studio Arts College International at (212) 248-7225 to discuss giving options. Studio Arts College International recommends that you consult your attorney or estate planner for a specific determination of what gift options will be most beneficial to you.
